I am a stay-at-home mother of two daughters, Molly (7) and Devyn (10). Initially, after the first child came along, I could not believe how difficult it was to do anything without constant interruptions. Then, after the second child appeared, I realized that it is impossible to do anything without constant interruptions, including reading. The title of this blog, therefore, meant that I had kids and that I was trying to read. Over the years, that expectation of being on call, which I affectionately call motherhood, finally established itself; consequently, the title of this journal has also come to mean that I have kids and that we are all trying to read, sometimes together and sometimes not.
